Holiday Lighting and Decor for Valley Stream Homes

Beyond roofline and tree lighting, Valley Stream homeowners can add pre-lit wreaths, garlands, pre-decorated trees, oversized ornaments, fiberglass figures and animatronics from our Christmas Decor, Fotodiastasi and Designer Collection catalogs.

Ask anyone who drives through Valley Stream in December and they will tell you the season looks different here. This village on the South Shore, where neighborhoods stretch down toward the bays in the Town of Hempstead has a character all its own, and the best holiday displays work with it rather than against it.

Valley Stream State Park and the Green Acres shopping area may be what visitors picture first when they think of Valley Stream, yet some of the best holiday views are right on its residential streets.

More time for the best parts of the season

You never climb a ladder or untangle a strand. Our crews are trained to work safely on roofs, ladders and lifts, and Christmas Decor by Emerald Magic is fully insured.

Our holiday lighting service is meant to turn your home into a beautiful winter wonderland while you get on with the season. Let us show you what we can do.

Valley Stream at a glance

Valley Stream is a village in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County. Located on the South Shore, where neighborhoods stretch down toward the bays, it trades waterfront views for quiet streets and easy access to the rest of the island. The village is known for busy shopping corridors, classic Long Island neighborhoods and lots of foot traffic.

Traffic through the area follows Sunrise Highway and Rockaway Avenue. Its neighbors include Elmont, North Valley Stream, Lynbrook and South Valley Stream. Those details are exactly what our lighting designers look at first when planning a display here.

What we consider for homes in Valley Stream

Good holiday lighting starts with the setting. Here is what we keep in mind for homes in Valley Stream:

Smaller lots and closely spaced homes call for a design that makes the most of the roofline, windows and front door.
Rooflines, windows, trees, shrubs and walkways can be combined in any mix, so the display can be as simple or as elaborate as you like.
Matching the neighbors is optional. Some homeowners love a classic warm white look, while others want color that stands out on the block.
On a typical suburban lot, the roofline, a front tree or two and the shrubs along the foundation make a complete, balanced display.
Think about the view you see most, whether it is pulling into the driveway or looking out the front window, and design for that moment.
