Holiday Lighting and Decor for Selden Homes

Beyond roofline and tree lighting, Selden homeowners can add pre-lit wreaths, garlands, pre-decorated trees, oversized ornaments, fiberglass figures and animatronics from our Christmas Decor, Fotodiastasi and Designer Collection catalogs.

Christmas lights are part of how Selden celebrates the season. Set in central Long Island in the Town of Brookhaven, the hamlet is full of families who want a festive house without giving up their weekends to a ladder.

Locals know Selden for the Ammerman Campus of Suffolk County Community College, but in December the houses get their turn in the spotlight.

Designing around your Selden home

Before a single strand goes up, we look at the house, the yard and the street. For Selden homes, that usually means thinking about the following:

Rooflines, windows, trees, shrubs and walkways can be combined in any mix, so the display can be as simple or as elaborate as you like.
The front door is where guests pause, so a wreath or garland there adds a finishing touch to the whole display.
On a typical suburban lot, the roofline, a front tree or two and the shrubs along the foundation make a complete, balanced display.
Matching the neighbors is optional. Some homeowners love a classic warm white look, while others want color that stands out on the block.
Warm white, multicolor or a blend of both: color sets the mood, and it is easy to talk through the options during your design consultation.

What makes Selden special

Selden is a hamlet in the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County. It sits in central Long Island, away from the shoreline, with neighborhoods that feel settled and comfortable. Around town you will find established neighborhoods and busy shopping corridors.

Nearby you will find Centereach, Coram, Farmingville and Holtsville. All of that adds up to homes that deserve a display designed just for them, not one copied from the house down the street.

Your questions, answered

How is the price of a display determined?

Every display is custom, so the cost depends on the size of the property, how much roofline and how many trees and shrubs are lit, and any wreaths, garlands or other decor you add. We provide a free, no-obligation quote so you know the cost before you commit.

Who designs my display?

You work directly with our lighting designers, who plan a display around your property and what you want it to say.

When should I book holiday lighting for my Selden home?

As early as you can. Install dates fill quickly each fall, and customers who book early get the widest choice of dates. Most displays go up in the weeks before Thanksgiving so they are ready for the whole season.

What if something stops working during the season?

Call us. Proactive maintenance is part of the service, and we respond to service calls promptly throughout the season so your display keeps looking the way it did on day one.

What is included in your Christmas light installation service?

Everything. We give you a free quote, design a display for your property, install it, service it through the season, take it down after the holidays and store it at our facility until next year.
